# Cheapest Unifi Plan Malaysia: The Smart Guide to Budget Home Internet

When shopping for home internet in Malaysia, balancing performance and cost is always the ultimate goal. While Telekom Malaysia (TM) is heavily marketing its ultra-fast gigabit speeds, most budget-conscious households are looking for the absolute lowest entry point.

If you want the reliability of Unifi without paying premium prices, there are two distinct directions you can take: true fiber broadband or portable wireless home internet. Here is the breakdown of the absolute cheapest Unifi plans available in Malaysia.

## 1. The Absolute Cheapest Fiber Option: Unifi Home 100Mbps

For a permanent, rock-solid fiber line to your house or apartment, the entry-level **Unifi Home 100Mbps plan** is the cheapest plan available.

### Current 100Mbps Promotional Perks

* **3 Months Free:** TM regularly includes a 3-month bill waiver for new online subscribers, making your first year incredibly cheap.
* **Free Installation:** Standard drilling and cabling are completed at zero cost.
* **30-Day Unifi TV Trial:** New users get a free 1-month trial to watch over 70 premium channels.

> **Who is it for?** The 100Mbps plan is perfect for small families, couples, or students living together. It easily handles up to 4 devices streaming Full HD content simultaneously.

## 2. The Cheapest Alternate Option: Unifi Air (Wireless Home 4G/5G)

If you live in a rented property, a student dorm, or an area where TM fiber cables haven’t reached yet, **Unifi Air** is your cheapest alternative. Because it runs on a SIM card, it requires no wall drilling or technical installation.

> **Who is it for?** Renters who move frequently or those who want to avoid a strict 24-month fiber contract. You just plug the router into a wall outlet and you instantly have home Wi-Fi.

## Summary: Which Budget Plan Should You Choose?

Before making a final choice, quickly map out your living situation:

1. **Check Your Home’s Coverage:** Fibre infrastructure check.
Input your address on the Unifi portal. If your building has a physical fiber port, prioritize the **RM89 100Mbps fiber plan** for better network latency and zero data limits.

2. **Determine Your Lease Terms:** Evaluate the commitment.
If you are renting for less than two years, the 24-month contract on the fiber plan will trigger early termination penalties if you cancel. Opt for the **RM79 Unifi Air SIM-only plan** to remain contract-free.

3. **Assess Household Usage:** Match speed to habits.
If your home has heavy gamers or people working on constant video calls, go with the **100Mbps Fiber plan**. Wireless 5G options (Unifi Air) can suffer from occasional latency spikes during rainy weather or peak neighborhood hours.
