# Unifi 100Mbps Price Per Month: A Complete Breakdown of Plans and Costs

Finding the sweet spot between fast home internet and a reasonable monthly bill can be tricky. For most medium-sized Malaysian households, a 100Mbps home fiber plan strikes the perfect balance. It delivers enough bandwidth for simultaneous 4K streaming, smooth casual gaming, and video conferencing without breaking the bank.

If you are considering Telekom Malaysia’s (TM) entry-level fiber tier, here is a breakdown of the current monthly pricing, promotional deals, and hidden costs for the Unifi 100Mbps plan.

## The Base Price: Unifi Home 100Mbps

The standard Recommended Retail Price (RRP) for a standalone Unifi Home 100Mbps package is **RM99 per month**. However, TM frequently runs promotional campaigns for new subscribers.

* **Promotional Monthly Fee:** **RM89 per month**.
* **The “Forever” Discount:** Subscribing during active promo periods locks in a permanent RM10 per month discount off the standard retail rate.
* **Contract Commitment:** Signing up for this rate requires a **27-month contract**.
* **Limited-Time Sweetener:** New online applications often include a **free 3-month fee waiver**, meaning you pay nothing for your first three months of service.

## What Do You Get for the Price?

The 100Mbps plan provides an asymmetrical internet connection optimized for standard residential usage:

* **Download Speed:** Up to 100 Mbps (great for downloading large files and streaming).
* **Upload Speed:** Up to 50 Mbps (plenty for cloud backups and video calls).
* **Data Quota:** Truly unlimited usage with no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) throttling.
* **Hardware Included:** A next-generation **Wi-Fi 6 Combo Box** router is provided free of charge.
* **Service Guarantee:** Includes Unifi’s **24-hour service restoration guarantee**.
* **Voice Calls:** Standard residential voice service is enabled at a flat rate of 20 sen per minute to all fixed lines and mobile networks.

## Unifi 100Mbps Converged Bundle Packages

If you want to maximize your savings, TM allows you to bundle the 100Mbps home fiber plan with entertainment packs or mobile plans under their UniVerse ecosystem.

## Hidden Upfront Costs and Fees to Keep in Mind

While the monthly plan price is highly competitive, setting up a new line requires tracking a few initial fees:

### 1. Advance Payment

Upon successful online registration, an advance payment of **RM100 for Malaysian citizens** (or **RM500 for non-Malaysians**) is charged. Don’t worry—this isn’t a lost fee; the amount is credited directly back into your Unifi account and deducted from your subsequent monthly bills.

### 2. Installation Fees

The standard TM installation fee is **RM200**. However, this fee is **completely waived** for new customers as long as the fiber run falls within the standard 50 meters of cabling from the nearest distribution box. If your house requires non-standard drilling, internal conduits, or over 50 meters of fiber cable, the technician will charge extra on-site.

### 3. Early Termination Penalties

Because the plan requires a 27-month contract commitment, canceling the service early triggers a hefty penalty. You will be required to pay the remaining balance of the monthly fees for all the unfulfilled months left on your contract.

## The Final Verdict

At **RM89 per month**, the promotional Unifi 100Mbps plan stands as one of the most cost-effective, reliable entry points for high-speed fiber internet in Malaysia. It handles everyday multi-device browsing effortlessly. However, if you live in a larger household with more than 5 heavy internet users or concurrent online gamers, upgrading to the 300Mbps plan (often priced around RM129 to RM139/month) might be worth the small price bump.

*Note: Promotional pricing, voucher availability (like Touch ‘n Go or Setel e-wallet credits), and contract waivers can change based on active quarterly campaigns. Check your home’s fiber port availability on the official Unifi self-care portal before applying.*
